Rules

There are rules in school in order to keep the students in check. Young people can be destructive and don't always know right from wrong. I believe they should apply to all students as it would feel unfair to some people, causing them to act out. Elementary school and high school have many differences such as were allowed to chew gum, leave off-campus, eat in class, and bring our phones. As in Elementary, they have to walk in straight lines without talking, carry a pass to go to the bathroom, and younger kids aren't allowed to leave without a parent signature. The role of teachers in the behavior of students is to get them to engage in school. To give them a good experience where they actually learned something they will always remember. While students should respect each other, go to school, listen, and learn. Although this doesn't always happen. But everyone's going to realize at some point we need to do these things in order to maintain a job, a steady life. I admit some rules are stupid and don't think they should be followed but the majority of them are essential for being a civil person.

Distractions from School

Distractions and lack of motivation are what keep me from completing assignments on time. Sometimes a new video will come out on Youtube or a new season will come out on Netflix. I get tempted to watch during my work time, then I end up doing that instead of homework. I think this happens with a lot of kids also since most of them have phones now. The internet is full of distractions that kids cant avoid. My lack of motivation although comes from too much homework and having to deal with a job at the same time. Children don't have to worry about hour-long homework assignments from each class or when they have to go into work. They only get a 30-minute worksheet they have to finish in like 2 days. I would love to go back with the same knowledge I have now, I would pass elementary school with no problem. We all have to learn though and elementary school is part of this process.

To my Great Grandchildren,                Listen to this clearly. When you are young and haven't made all the mistakes that kids make, listen to this and when you are this age be safe be strong be happy. Don't give in to what people say about you, you are perfect and beautiful and don't let anyone tell you differently. I am proud of you and I want the best for you. When you get to the age in life that you are in high school, don't fall in love with anyone until they prove to you that they are a good person and that they won't hurt you.
