How Opportunities Affect my Education

Image
The resources and learning opportunities I had before I started school was my own family. They taught me how to be responsible and respectful, so when I went into school I was the only kid who always listened to the teacher. Paying attention to the teacher helped me understand what was going on, though I didn't have many friends as I was shy. Besides that, I never learned anything educational wise, as the years passed by I didn't try in school and goofed off. My family never supported me in school, they never asked if I did my homework so I never did it. They also never showed up at my school events like concerts and parent-teacher conferences. This honestly affected me mentally, knowing my family didn't care about my education. Having nobody to support me at my basketball and volleyball games took a toll on me, though it gave me the aggression needed to score. I was one of the best players, I practiced every night and was the point guard. Realizing I could be successful wi

Oppourtunities

Before I was introduced and integrated into the school system, I was exposed to many opportunities that helped me grow and achieve. I learned how to dance with my ballet class, and my mom was constantly teaching me new words. I was always asking questions when I didn't understand or comprehend something. I was exposed to a lot of books in and out of the house. My mom would take me to the Library so I could have a choice on what to learn and explore.

Self Discipline in Education

Throughout my education, I learned self-discipline, the teachers I hated the most are now the teachers I am most grateful for. These teachers pushed me to my limits and saw the potential in me when I couldn't see it myself. They pursued me to get good grades and turn assignments in on time. Although I hated doing so with many tears along the way, I learned how to motivate myself in tough situations. My education taught me to have patience and gave me self-confidence when I got good grades when I was doubting myself the whole time. I'm also thankful for the friends I made along the way, they're great people who encourage me to continue doing well in school. Without them, I wouldn't be the person I am today, and I wouldn't care about school as much as I do now. Plus they're what makes going to school fun, id be bored all day and wouldn't want to go if I had no friends I could be myself around.
